We stopped here while staying a night in Cloudcroft. This place is perfect. All of the food was excellent. We had the Willy burger, which had a great contrast of very grilled green chile and onions and lightly grilled crisp jalapeños. It had a nice kick to it. The chips were great, but the fries were even better. We also had the fried veggies basket, which has fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, and onion rings with a ranch sauce on the side. We also shared some tots with green chile and cheese. The service was fast. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the food was ready very quickly. There was live music while we were there, so that was a nice touch to the vibe of this restaurant. Our server was incredibly attentive to all of her tables, and she was managing a lot! Props to the team working tonight. They were amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
Great spot to stop by and grab a bite to eat while exploring. The servers were great. Ordered a Philly steak sandwich and it was tasty. The hand cut fries were the star of the show. Great time to visit Cloudcroft we didn't have to wait there were several tables open. Hope to see yall again in winter!
This place was recommended to us in Michigan. We were a bit concerned given some of the reviews. However, our experience was great albeit it’s somewhat confusing when you get there. You enter via along hall with establishments on either side. It was confusing as we were unsure if we were at the right spot. At the same time, you check in where people are checking out. That aside, this is a rustic deli. We were seated quickly and served immediately. With both of us being picky eaters, we shared our likes/dislikes with our server and she made recommendations. There are plenty of options for vegetarians! The portions were plentiful and I took half of my food home to eat for dinner. Prices were below what I would expect for a remote location. Contrary to other, “not-so-positive” reviews, we liked this place, we would go again and we would recommend it.
Casual spot with a good menu selection. I had a veggie sandwich called Alex’s sandwich. I didn’t care for the fries but the onion rings were very good! Great prices and good services.
It was a beautiful day to sit outside with our dog Polly and have a nice post-hike lunch. Green Chile Turkey melt and Green Chile cheeseburger. Yum. Very nice staff.
We drive all the way from El Paso to cool down in Cloudcroft. We rented a cabin in January for our daughters birthday and ordered food from Dave’s Cafe to go. I couldn’t believe how delicious the hamburgers were. It’s hard to find quality food for pick up. When we went back last month to go cherry picking in High Rolls I suggested we eat at Dave’s Cafe being that out to go order was awesome. Well the wait was long but, well worth it! We had burgers, wings and my son had the chicken and fries for kids and it was so delicious. My baby’s chicken was fresh and lightly battered. Super tender on the inside. The burger I ordered was amazing!!! We’ll be back again soon!
After a quick camping trip in Cloudcroft, we stopped here on our way out of town. Atmosphere is unique and it was a nice change from fast food. There's a lot to choose from on their menu, but we decided to split two plates...a smothered burrito and a burger and it filled us up just fine and it was delicious. It was a busy lunch and the service still managed to cater to all customers. They have a small selection of ice cream, but still enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Even if there's a wait, I would recommend this restaurant.
Took my dad there, hoth of us had amazing hot chocolate and cheeseburgers! Loved the service, supper nice people!
